People who have taken workshops with us have shared:

"It truly is a transformational experience to actually practice the Wheel of Consent and not just learn the concepts and structure. Max and Sasha offer such a lovely, intentional container in which to explore the Wheel in this embodied way. This is a course that I will likely return to again in the future, as something new often emerges in each practice and iteration."

"The course helped me explore how to ask for what I want, how to tune in more deeply and be present with my desires, with my longing and to notice what comes up when I receive a no. Both Max and Sasha were super skillful facilitators who both held a supportive and safe learning space to explore." -KG

"The space was held clearly, spaciously and tenderly. I appreciated the slow pace, the options and the clear instructions about attending, the content, exercises and sharing.  I felt so at ease sharing and asking questions, and receiving insightful responses.  All these different aspects of the course increased my trust in my body and really valuing my responses, especially towards what feels good, and what doesn't. I believe this course and the expanded trust in my body also increased my emotional resilience in uncomfortable or unpleasant situations." Violette Najat

Almost all workshops that teach the Wheel of Consent consist of largely or entirely white and Western/global north people. This means that BIPOC folks and folks of the global majority can find it difficult to feel safe and access the material fully in these spaces.

We endeavor to teach the Wheel to a truly diverse group in ways that examine and alter our vision of the Wheel of Consent itself. We teach the practices in ways that acknowledge the power dynamics of systems of oppression that function in our daily lives, and help us use the tools of the Wheel towards liberation, personal and collective. We recognize that there are circumstances in which we do not have full choice, while simultaneously expanding our experiences of being in full choice.

How are we doing this?

We are reserving 50% of our spaces for BIPOC folks from all geographies. This means that we will put all white registrants on the waiting list, and add them to the workshop as we register BIPOC registrants.
